Square Piano

Square pianos were the domestic instrument of the 18th and early 19th Century, and are still ideally suited for this purpose. They are in every way serious musical instruments with a gentle sound that has enormous charm. The music of the Classical and Romantic composers played on their contemporary instruments magically transports us back in time. They are unrivalled in their elegant proportions and reflect the same refinement and attention to detail found in the highest quality furniture of the period. They can be very small, not taking up any more room than a sideboard. We have an exceptional range of square pianos available: The English, French and Viennese makers are all represented. For those with limited space, or for our clients who are looking for something very special, an antique square piano is an inspiring and romantic choice.
